The Client is a well established Make-up Artist, with a thriving business, that was in need of a new location. The goal was a feminine, chic, and modern interior to be located in the new Blvd Place development. The client, Corinne Williams, came to me with a selection of finishes and store layout requirements.
The Floor Plan was developed per the client’s needs and worked out the best application of the finishes she desired. Floor to ceiling mirror was used at the makeup stations, not only providing viewing for the boutiques client’s but also creating a great sense of space in an otherwise dense part of the store.
Part of the project requirements were to reuse several large display/storage cases from the client’s existing store. Supplementary cabinetry was designed to hold makeup, supplies and trash at each of her teams’ makeup stations. These cabinets are a more minimalist version of the large display cabinets. They tie in beautifully while minimizing the visual clutter of an environment rich with detail and product. The fabulous pink print Borne sofa provides a central seating option for Bride’s and their bridesmaids to gather & celebrate while getting ready for the big day.
Key elements are: a series of crystal chandeliers, makeup station lighting, white high gloss cabinetry, a back-lit image of Brigitte Bardot, and dazzling dragon motif wallpaper. Add the cash wrap station clad in Mother of Pearl mosaic tile with a back-lit bronze mirror panel and you have a very feminine, glamorous space.
